Dana Cranston to have banner raised to NPSS ceiling

first_imgCranston’s mom broke the news to her and it’s recognition she is grateful to receive.“When I got home last week my mom told me at the start of the tournament there would be a little ceremony. It’s just a huge honour. It’s something I’ve seen in the gym growing up playing. My cousin is up there. It’s something that motivated me all through high school and club, throughout practices to work harder. It’s something I’ve always wanted and very humbling.” Cranston said.Coming back home brings back memories of her high school playing days for Cranston and enjoys seeing the current crop of players competing out on the court.- Advertisement -“Just seeing home much of a volleyball hot bed this region is. It’s so cool watching our girls play. They’re having a great season and working so hard. It’s cool to see the passion continue for the game. I’m so thankful I grew up in a place that allowed me to do those things.”After a busy stretch that saw her compete overseas as a professional and with the Canadian women’s volleyball team, Cranston plans on taking time to relax and rest her body before exploring her options again professionally.last_img read more
